Abu will Sing in El Gouna festival closing

Singer Abu is currently putting the final touches on the song of the closing ceremony of El Gouna Film Festival’s third edition.

The song bears the name “Habibi Ya Lail”; it is written and composed by Abu and distributed by Robert Kamal, and is his second cooperation with the festival after “3 Daqat”, which achieved great success.

Abu has recently stated to the press that El Gouna Film Festival has become one of the most important artistic and cultural events in Egypt, and that his participation in this significant event comes in line with his desire to provide
strong and different artistic content.

He added that the presence and participation of international artists in the festival confirms that it has a great resonance outside Egypt, and plays an important role in supporting tourism in the Red Sea region.

Abu further pointed out that his participation in the festival this year came at the request of Amr Mansy, CEO of El Gouna Film Festival.

The star also noted that films presented in the festival tell beautiful stories, and he loves to tell stories through songs and music. Abu clarified that this is the reason he decided to make the festival’s closing ceremony song.

In August, Abu celebrated the release of his latest song “Aysh Ya Albi” during a press conference. The song featured the cheerful tone which distinguishes Abu’s songs.

It was filmed in the Lebanese city of Tire (AKA Sour) with its stunning scenery and with the participation of the Lebanese theatrical artist Rafik Ali Ahmed, Miss Lebanon and star Valery Abu Chakra; the video clip was directed by Fadi Haddad.
