Sometimes travelling with BFF isn’t always picture perfect.
Here are our five tips for staying sane planning an overseas adventure with a friend…
1.Make sure your travel styles align.
There’s no point travelling with someone who loves museums, quiet activities and strolling slowly if you’re a fast mover ready to hit up the local nightlife.
2 Figure out your budget together.
Money is an important aspect of any overseas trip and it’s not always fun when you’re with someone who’s wanting to spend significantly more or less than you.
3. Take some time to each write a ‘must-see’ list so you know what’s really important to the other person and something they’re really looking forward to.
This can prevent an argument further down the line if you find yourself short on time and needing to cut down your itinerary.
4. Meal times might seem straightforward but often we all have different eating habits. Discuss this ahead of time to avoid any hunger-induced arguments.
5 Know what annoys them, and tell them what annoys you! This is another good conversation to have before heading away. Be honest about your flaws (we all have them, don’t worry!) and this was you both know what’s coming.
